First, thank you for listening and checking out the site. Feel free to post comments about individual shows by clickity-click-clicking on them below.
It's been a month since our last show and people have been asking what the hell.. so I figured I'd repost this from the MangyDog/NashvilleStandUp forum:
The studio we were using to do the live recording of the show has freaked out on us and we're working on a new place to call home for the show.
When we first made the deal to do the show there they'd told us we could do uncensored shows without any restrictions, but that changed literally 5 seconds before we went on the air one day. They continued to push us to be more and more bland and forgetable, but we resisted.
We took a couple weeks off for the holidays and when we were ready to come back, they flaked out on us.
At first, they lavished praise upon us and were happy to be promoting comedy and giving exposure to a group of people who usually seem to be lost in the shuffle of TwangTown.. but I think that mostly came from ex-station-employee producer/dj/personality Andie Lynne, and not so much the station's management.
I didn't know this, but apparently it turns out that above all else, what Music City needed was some sort of outlet for mediocre singer-songwriters. Thank God they've got it now and we're not wasting two hours of their precious time.
We'll be back soon, I promise.. and we'll be better than ever. I've got TONS of cd's from great, great comics who've said they'd love to do the show. If you're a comic and you've got a cd.. please send it on in:
